Avanan (now part of Check Point) is a cloud‑security tool made for protecting email and collaboration apps (like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Teams, Slack etc.).   • It integrates via APIs into your cloud environment, which means it doesn’t require heavy infrastructure changes like rerouting all email traffic or changing MX records. 
  • It scans both incoming and outgoing messages, and also looks at internal communication (emails between your own users). 
  • Uses machine learning / AI to detect patterns / anomalies, and has multiple layers of protection: sandboxing attachments, URL scanning, data loss prevention (DLP), etc. 
  • It also offers post‑delivery remediation: e.g. if a phishing campaign is discovered after some emails already landed in inboxes, you can search & remove them.
